Amy Lawson is the ‘mom who ticks’ thanks to heart valve replacement surgery for a congenital birth defect.  It does not usually bother people until quiet scenes in movies. However, besides ticking, Amy is the mom to two spirited, sarcastic, wondrous boy children, so movies in the movie theater are usually with her children and the seats are filled with other children and they are loud.

On October 26, 2014, Amy had an ischemic stroke that affected the left side of her body. Amy has been writing and performing stand up comedy since April, 2014, rehabbed from the stroke and started all over again in April, 2015.

Amy is also a social media enthusiast and is the sole proprietor and writer for the blog  ‘Connected Content’.

Amy has been using online dating sites for the past two years and considers herself an expert in the field, if the field is rejection.

Since Roseanne is no longer on the air Amy feels that fat, funny, poor, moms are woefully under represented.   She would gladly discuss rectifying that situation with television executives.

My father in law just had a valve replaced from what the doctors said was a birth defect he was lucky to make 60 years with. I look forward to reading more of your blog. Single mother with two boys ALWAYS = hilarity!

Yeah, I was told when I was about 30 that I would have to have surgery but probably WAY down the road. I turned 40 and all of a sudden it WAS way down the road. Glad your father in laws outcome was good.

Thanks! I like your blog a lot. Yeah, it is kind of a recipe for hilarity 🙂

    Kev. 🙂

PS. NO WAY should a Lady as BEAUTIFUL – looking as yourself be CONTINUALLY rejected. :(.

PPS, MY luck is JUST as bad, if it’s ANY consolation. 😦
