NOT Looking Forward to It

NOT looking forward to it…

Today my ex, my eldest son and I are meeting with my son’s math teacher. Progress reports just went out and my son has a D in math. He did great in everything else, but math is not his favorite and he doesn’t do well in it. I think it’s a combination of he just doesn’t like it and he doesn’t fully understand it.

I really like his teacher, very much. I am sure she will talk to us about extra tutoring that is available and that it is very important that he actually DO his homework.

I will hear ‘you are an awful mom and you should really hover over your child even more than you already do to assure that he learns this shit or he will be an absolute failure in life and it will be all your fault. ALL YOUR FAULT.’

Parent guilt. It is irrational as hell.
